the responsive view as seen in the template demo is not part of the TemplateSwitcher. The button 'responsive view' is a normal link which has been styled like a button, it leads to a different site.
The responsive view site was specially designed to display our template demo site in a iframe with the typical resolution of various devices, like smartphones, tablets and desktops.
